This will be my 7th attempt at Bout of Books readathons! I say attempt, cause I don’t think I accomplished ANYTHING last time. lol
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 2nd and runs through Sunday, January 8th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 18 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
I’m hoping to participate again this time, and hopefully do better than the last one. I didn’t do all that well at any readathons last year, but hopefully will do better this year. I love to do them.
So, for my TBR, I am not going to be TOO ambitious. I want to read these, though:
If by some miracle I happen to finish both of these (as I have already started the first one, previously), I will then move onto:
However, I doubt I could then also finish it within this week.
I am gonna *try* and participate in Spookathon this week. My tack record for readathons this year is pretty dismal, but I am gonna try anyways! Spookathon is a new readathon created and hosted by Kayla at BooksandLala.
If you are interested, please hit the link and check out the details, as there’s challenges and giveaways. But for me, I’m just keeping it simple, wit only 2 books for my TBR:
I hadn’t even thought to look before, but I’m certain I’ll fulfill at least a couple challenges, so that’s cool!
A friend and I were talking awhile back, and she mentioned kinda wanting to reread Twilight, and we thought it’d be fun to do together, so hoping we can do that…and now’s the perfect time to start.

So…I don’t really know much about Pokemon. Like, at all. But I do like to play Pokemon GO, which is why this readathon peeked my interest! And it sounds fun with all the points, so I might as well try it out.
So, this readathon is hosted by Read at Midnight, and starts Monday, August 14th, and runs for 3 weeks…and since Bout of Books 17 *also* is in the middle of it (and we do not have a challenge list for that yet)…this TBR is tentative, for right now. I am attempting to double up all my requirements, making books do double (and possibly triple?!) duty. I have 2 books I have to read this month, and I got them both to work for this readathon. If I can, I will try and get them to work for BoB as well, if I don’t read them before that…which I am going to try to do.
ANYWAYS. Let’s get to the TBR.
Also, the pokemon I am picking is:
which evolves into a slowbro.
For easier future reference, here is also the point calculation rules:
I haven’t really heard of anyone talking about this readathon yet, for this year, but I’ve been looking forward to it! I was hoping to get some good reading done during this week, but now we are actually going on holiday, so I may still get to get some read on the long drive there and back, so will see how I do!

I am now realizing that, during this readathon, for a majority of the week, we will be on vacation. So I am not going to be doing a daunting a TBR, as I don’t know how much reading I will get done. As of now, I’m only going to TBR 2 books….and that’s for *just in case* I get one completed, but I don’t think I’ll even get to more than 1 book.
I’m also really only picking books from my #ReadThemAllThon TBR, so that my books can do double duty and count for both readathons. I also probably will not be able to do much on the challenge front, for this readathon. Will have to see what the challenges all entail, and how much time in the evenings we will have available, but I am not going to stress over those this time. Kind of sucks, as these challenges are usually my favorite of all readathons!
I heard about the Slay That Series Readathon that’s happening next week, and decided, since I’m already reading books that would qualify for this, I may as well participate!! So I came up with just a couple others, to go along, as choices to complete this readathon, in case I finish the ones I’m already reading.
Slay That Series has a couple hosts, one being Sara, Sara without an H, and she has an announcement video with all the full details. But essentially this is an 8 day readathon that you read books to help you try and finish series that you’ve already started. It will be running from Sunday, March 13th, at 12am, to Sunday, March 20th, at 1159pm.
And here’s the books I’ll be picking from:
I’m currently reading Winter, and only about 155 pages in, so far, so will be finishing that soon (hopefully), and continuing onto Stars above, which would complete the Lunar Chronicles. If I finish them both before next week is over, then I can pick from one of the other two books. I highly doubt I will read them all, but I do like to have options!
Let me know if you are participating in the #SlayThatSeries Readathon, and what you will be reading, if you are!

Bout of Books Readathon has come again!! I’m a tad late doing the actual posting of my TBR here on my blog, but I did post on Twitter a few weeks back, stating that I would be participating. I’m kinda slacking, otherwise, this round!
This week there’s also another readathon happening, and so my TBR is themed towards that readathon, since Bout of Books does not have any book specific challenges…and that readathon is the WHIRTY Readathon, or the Why-Haven’t-I-Read-This-Yet Readathon. It’s a new readathon created by Keely at A Bibliophile’s Journey, and it’s kinda awesome I can do double duty, and participate in both readathons at the same time! 🙂
S, here’s my TBR for the week!
Here’s my TBR video: LINK
So…the #YEARATHON and Bout of Books Read-a-thon are both happening this week! I believe 2 of the books will qualify for both read-a-thons,…I have some clunkers, so I doubt I will get through to the 3rd book, anyways, but here’s a list of what I shall be attempting!
The Book Thief: this is the #YEARATHON’s pick for the group
Now That I’ve Found You: my very first ARC! It’s being released January 15th (I think?), and so I want to get it read before then
The Slippery Slope: the next book I need to read for the Series of Unfortunate Events, but we’ll see if I even get this far!
